Kritika Joshi
MIT-ADT University, Pune
Hello folks of folk, I am Kritika Joshi, an artist, Folklore lover, curator, and a dreamer. A graduate from IICD, Jaipur, in Textile & Design, with a Master's in Visual Arts; above all, I am a practitioner of Phad Painting, a 700-year-old folk art kept alive by my family across generations. My experiences in life and across diverse fields of work are reflected in my artistic practice. I believe that inspiration can strike from anywhere and to anyone. I often read about the folklore of different states and regions, not restricted to the lore of deities. I find them fascinating, and sometimes surreal. Right now, I am a part of the MIT-ADT University group in Pune, teaching Traditional Art Studies to art students. When I am not doing any of that, I love to roam in the mountains or halfway into the ocean - often wondering if I was a fish in my past life.
