Hansini
Hansini is a researcher interested in folklore studies, visual culture, oral traditions, and performance practices, with a special focus on the Phad tradition from Rajasthan. Her doctoral research explored the relationship between imagery, oral storytelling, ritual performance, and collective identity within folk communities through interdisciplinary perspectives drawn from folklore theory, visual culture, and performance studies. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at JECRC University, Jaipur. Alongside teaching and research, she has remained deeply interested in Indian folk traditions, oral epics, indigenous knowledge systems, and the ways in which living cultural practices continue to shape community memory and identity.Her broader research interests include ritual performance, folk imagery, oral narratives and the role of folklore in contemporary cultural discourse. Through her academic and collaborative engagements, she hopes to contribute to conversations around folklore as a living, evolving, and community-driven cultural practice.
